The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has postponed NEET PG 2017 at Chennai test centres due to harsh weather conditions in the city. The exam, which was to be held at six centres across the city, stands cancelled as per a notification issued by the exam authority on December 13, 2016. NBE is expected to release a notification on the revised exam schedule for these centres.
“The National Board of Examinations has deferred the NEET PG 2017 exam in Chennai due to the inclement weather. The revised schedule for NEET PG candidates scheduled at Chennai test centre on 13/12/16 shall be informed shortly,” reads a notification on the NBE website.

Earlier the afternoon session exam at the Chennai centres was rescheduled to December 13 from December 12, 2016.
According to the Board, the admit cards which were issued for the PG medical test will be valid for the rescheduled exam as well.
NEET PG is the single entrance examination conducted by NBE for admissions to various MD/MS and PG diploma programmes.The entrance exam was conducted from December 5 to 13, 2016 at various testing centres across the country. From this year onward s, NEET PG has replaced the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) and DNB CET.
