NEET PG Merit List 2017 – National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released complete NEET PG 2017 Merit list on January 22, 2017. The NEET PG Merit list declared on January 22 carries complete list of candidates who had appeared in NEET PG exam. The Merit list also carries scores of all candidates along with their testing IDs and names. Corresponding to the names of candidates, the merit list also mentions whether a candidate is qualified for admission to PG programmes or not. The merit list for admission to 50% All India Quota seats in Government as well as Central medical institute/universities had already been released on January 13.

As per the exam conducting authrotity NBE, the total number of candidates in various categories (UR/OBC/SC/ST/UR-PH/OBCPH/SC-PH/ST-PH) who are qualified to participate in online counseling for All India 50% quota seats – (2017 admission session) is 31330 as per the guidelines provided by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) / MoHFW, Government of India.

NEET PG 2017 Merit list will be valid for the following:

  1. 50% All India Quota seats (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)

  2. State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana)

  3. All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country

  4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.

  5. DNB Broad specialty courses

Note: The following Medical institutions are exempted from the centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET-PG for 2017 session:

  • AIIMS, New Delhi

  • PGIMER, Chandigarh

  • SGPGIMS, Lucknow

  • JIPMER, Puducherry

  • NIMHANS, Bengaluru

  • Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

Type of NEET PG 2017 merit list

  • All India NEET-PG 2017 rank: This is the overall merit list and contains positions of all candidates who appeared in the test.

  • All India 50% quota rank: This is the merit list of all candidates eligigilbe  to appear through NEET-PG 2017 under the All India 50% quota MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses 2017 admission session.

  • All India 50% quota Category Rank: This ranking list lists the merit position of all candidates in the category (OBC/SC/ST).

  • State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank: These are the merit lists issued by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/university for admission to their respective institutes.
