As per a Supreme Court’s decision on NEET in 2016, NEET is the single examination for admissions to medical and dental programmes in the country, including management and NRI quota seats. Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, (JNTU) Kakinada will be the counselling authority for admissions to 100% state quota seats in government medical/dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Further, JNTU will be the counselling authority for private, deemed and central universities as well. Important: Candidates must note that the state of Andhra Pradesh does not participate in 15% central pool of all India quota seats. This means that, 15% all India quota seats are not reserved in government medical and dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Thus, admissions to 100% MBBS and BDS seats in government medical colleges along with private and deemed universities will be done by the JNTU, Kakinada on the basis of NEET 2017 scores.

Candidates must have passed 10+2/HSC examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
Candidates belonging to General category must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, while candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes (OBC) have to secure at leaset 40% marks in HSC/10+2

AP MBBS Merit List 2017
The counselling conducting authority of AP MBBS 2017, JNTU, Kakinada will release a merit list for admissions to 100% MBBS and BDS seats located in the state. This must be remembered that 15% all India quota seats are not reserved in government medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, as the state does not participate in the central pool. However, admissions to private and deemed medical universities will also be done by JNTU, Kakinada on the basis of NEET 2017 scores only. Andhra Pradesh MBBS 2017 merit list will consist of candidate’s name, NEET 2017 roll number, NEET 2017 Rank, date of birth etc.
AP MBBS Counselling 2017
Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Kakinada, the counselling conducting authority of Andhra Pradesh will conduct counselling for admissions to government, private, medical and deemed medical colleges/institutes located in the state.
